Boeing Starliner's Crew Capsule to Finally Fly to Space with Astronauts

After years of setbacks, Boeing's Starliner spacecraft is set to lift off with two NASA astronauts on board.

The launch, scheduled for May 19, will be the capsule's first crewed flight after a series of delays and setbacks in its development.

The Starliner was designed to carry up to seven astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) for NASA's Commercial Crew Program. However, technical and software problems have plagued the program, leading to multiple delays and costing Boeing billions of dollars.

Meanwhile, SpaceX, Boeing's rival in the Commercial Crew Program, has successfully launched nine crewed missions to the ISS, including one that is currently docked at the station.

The upcoming Starliner mission will be a major milestone for Boeing and NASA. If successful, it will pave the way for operational crewed flights to the ISS by Boeing's spacecraft.
